Membership

The Leominster Art Center & Gallery is always looking for new members to join us and help support our community. Membership is open to anyone – you just need to complete our application and submit your annual membership fee. Local artists are encouraged to become Exhibiting Artists. The Gallery is a wonderful place to meet artists, share ideas, take classes, and exhibit your artwork. Artists Receptions are held on the “First Friday” evening of every month. They are a wonderful way to get to know your fellow members, artists, as well as potential clients, and the community at large. If you are unsure about joining us, please come down to the LACG and see what we are all about!

We are currently accepting new members at all membership levels. The application process is easy: download an application or, better yet, stop by the gallery and introduce yourself to the volunteer Artist Attendant on duty. Below are the membership levels which are offered, and are subject to change without notice.

(or click on a member title to download the packet for that type of membership)

Exhibiting Artist Member

All local artists are encouraged to become Exhibiting Artists in our gallery. To become an exhibiting member, you will need to have your artwork reviewed by our Board of Directors. Upon acceptance, you may be placed on our Wait List until there is an opening available. Exhibiting Artists are expected to actively participate in the overall operations of the Art Center and Gallery, since it is a community cooperative style entity. New volunteers will receive training to familiarize them with policies and procedures.

As an Exhibiting Artist Member, you will receive several important benefits including free advertising by the gallery promoting your artwork, very low gallery commission on sales of your art, and the chance to be a part of this local group of talented and friendly artists. Payments for sales will be available at the end of each month, less any fees and commissions due.

Fee: Monthly rental space fee plus sales commission fee. See our Exhibiting Artist Fee Schedule for full details.

We need and encourage our local business community to join us in bringing the arts to the public. We want to work with your business to benefit both of our needs. We understand that not every person or every business will fit into the above descriptions. We welcome gifts in kind, such as display cabinets, gallery accessories, or art supplies just to name a few.
