Kathryn was born and raised In Oxford, MA.  After high school she went on to study art and graduated from SWAM (School of the Worcester Art Museum).  For the next 10 years employed by Studio Graphic, Inc., Worcester, MA as an illustrator and graphic artist.  

       In 1989 she moved to Leominster and left her job at Studio Graphics to become a self-employed artist.  Since that time she has worked in a variety of mediums to make it possible to support herself as an artist.  Among other things, she has done professional matting and framing (investing in all her own equipment), wall murals, stencil design, upholstery fabric design, soy candles and sales/commissions for over 500 of her watercolor paintings.  She has shipped her artwork to most of the US states as well as overseas to England, France and Sweden through her sales on Ebay.  Her paintings cover a wide variety of subjects, from architectural renderings to childrens portraits, though she is most know for her intricate florals.

     Her love of what she does and a desire to share her skills began a teaching career as well.  After writing an instructional booklet to base her classes on she began to teach watercolor.  This was 15 years ago, since then she has taught dozens of students and continues to do so.  She takes great pride in the students that have taken her class and gone on to win ribbons in local art shows

      She also enjoys painting her 3 cats and is working on illustrating and writing a children's book about them, their relationships and silly antics.
