Born in Greece she moved to Germany at age 9, lived in Vienna, Austria, as a teenager and came to America in her twenties. Since she was a little child, she has always displayed her gift of art and her desire to learn and develop her artistic abilities.

Once in the U.S., she was able to attend art college at UMass Boston, where she developed a free style using different media such as oil-pastel, charcoal, oil paint and acrylic. Over time, her passion turned towards collage and mixed media.

Iphigenia participated in several exhibits during her time at UMass Boston. Then during the years 1992-2000, she moved to Pasadena, CA where she worked at the U.S. Center for World Mission as a full time artist. Iphigenia taught art to middle school and high school students. She also did artwork for various magazines and publications. While in CA, she won an Artist of the Year award and also had the opportunity to do several special projects that are still on display today.
